Preferred applicants will hold a degree in Architecture or lighting design. You will also have demonstrable skills in CAD, Adobe, Microsoft Office, and most importantly a knowledge of Relux or Dialux.  You will have a minimum of two years’ experience working within a lighting design consultancy and have excellent project management and presentation skills.  

Junior Lighting Designer - £21k

All candidates will have a relevant design degree related to architecture or design. Minimum 1 years’ experience is required.  Dealing with projects from conception to completion, you will continue to learn working alongside experienced Lighting Designers and receive opportunities to grow and develop.  Candidates must have a working knowledge of CAD, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and most importantly Relux or Dialux.  3D modelling skills would also be advantageous.

Cad Technician – Circa 18k (dependent on experience)

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious individual who is happy to work as a CAD Technician, initially, working closely with our Design Team but also show potential to grow within the company, taking on a role with a design focus.  You must therefore be flexible, professional and have the ability to meet deadlines.

The candidate will be responsible for drawing and setting out light fixtures, as well as architectural lighting details.  Due to the large volume and variety of work, it will require great focus and attention to detail.  You will be required to create a new process/procedure, where you will have the responsibility to manage, maintain, and update project drawing issue sheets and related documents, so good organisational skills are a must.


Candidates for all the above positions must have flair, enthusiasm, dedication and a keenness to learn, as well as a flexible approach - at times, you will be expected to work to demanding expectations.

CAD Technician
We are seeking a CAD technician to assist in our busy drawing office. Applicants should have 2 years experience preferably within either an electrical or lighting background. Excellent skills in AutoCAD, enthusiasm and dedication are essential. Must be able to demonstrate excellent project and time management skills. Salary commensurate to experience. Based in our Guildford Head Office.

Sales Project Engineer

Those applying must exhibit strong creative design skills and have an aptitude for lighting.  They should have a degree in lighting or a related field as indicated below.  As well as good sketching skills this candidate must have good AutoCAD skills and some form of lighting work experience would be preferred.

All candidates should have a professional degree in Lighting or a related field such as architecture, design or engineering.  Familiarity with design tools such as DIALux, Relux, Photoshop, AutoCAD and Radiance are helpful but not essential.  For senior positions recognition by one of the main professional lighting bodies is also preferred.

Experienced Lighting Designers Required

We are independent lighting design consultants, based over in East London, looking to recruit experienced architectural lighting designers for our expanding studio.

Our work is varied over a range of commercial and private projects in both the UK and internationally. We are looking for the right people who want to join our team; for prospective colleagues who want to work in a collaborative and friendly design environment; for skilled designers who want to bring exciting ideas to the table and to see them come to fruition.

Applicants should have a minimum two years lighting design experience and be fully literate in AutoCAD, Word and Dialux as well as Indesign and Photoshop. 3D modelling skills in Rhino and Sketchup would be useful but not a prerequisite.
