Senior Designer
The successful candidate will have a minimum 5 years lighting design experience across a broad range of project types;  be able to manage and inspire others and show a willingness to collaborate with fellow workers to create great lighting schemes.  A fluency in use of AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Photoshop, Indesign and Dialux will be required of all candidates.

Junior Designer

The right candidate will be enthusiastic and  interested in the design potential of light and be keen to make a career in this field. Experience of AutoCAD , Word and Excel packages are a must but lighting experience is not a prerequisite - pay will be commensurate with experience.  The successful candidates will be working as part of a team on various projects.  Over time they will learn to create and present lighting concepts, set up lighting layouts in AutoCAD and write specifications.  They will liaise with architects and learn to manage the design from initial ideas, through construction and on to final commissioning and the completion of the projects.

The Lighting Practice is a Philadelphia based lighting design firm with 25 years in the A/E/C Industry.  Our portfolio includes major projects throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe.  We are seeking motivated, creative entry-level and senior designers with experience in the lighting industry or a related field.  Our projects are diverse and challenging - we have designed exterior building lighting, specialty lighting for retail entertainment centers, major universities, as well as corporate and healthcare facilities. The right candidate would have a minimum of three years experience as a product designer or project manager, preferably in the field of lighting . We are looking for motivated individuals with good knowledge of manufacturing processes who are well versed in the the process of bringing designs to live.

Main responsibilities:
