ORLIGHT OPPORTUNITIES

Due to rapid growth, Orlight is currently seeking to recruit the following new Team members to add to its talented Design Team based in its Showroom on the King’s Road in Chelsea, London.

We are a close-knit and supportive team with an exciting working environment and a wide range of stimulating projects. Working on large high-end developments, both nationally and internationally, you will be expected to become part of a growing team and have the ability to undertake projects of your own with guidance from the senior members of the team.

Intermediate Lighting Designer - £25k

We are looking for a candidate who yearns for a little adventure as well as a break from the norm.  Our projects are extremely challenging not only in their fast-paced design process but also in the nature of demanding clientele and as such, the position requires that the individual not only is a talented designer but also excels at the thrill of handling unreasonable requests.  The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate creativity in their design and the ability to communicate their ideas clearly and effectively.

Preferred applicants will hold a degree in Architecture or lighting design. You will also have demonstrable skills in CAD, Adobe, Microsoft Office, and most importantly a knowledge of Relux or Dialux.  You will have a minimum of two years’ experience working within a lighting design consultancy and have excellent project management and presentation skills.

Junior Lighting Designer - £21k

All candidates will have a relevant design degree related to architecture or design. Minimum 1 years’ experience is required.  Dealing with projects from conception to completion, you will continue to learn working alongside experienced Lighting Designers and receive opportunities to grow and develop.  Candidates must have a working knowledge of CAD, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and most importantly Relux or Dialux.  3D modelling skills would also be advantageous.

Cad Technician – Circa 18k (dependent on experience)

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious individual who is happy to work as a CAD Technician, initially, working closely with our Design Team but also show potential to grow within the company, taking on a role with a design focus.  You must therefore be flexible, professional and have the ability to meet deadlines.

The candidate will be responsible for drawing and setting out light fixtures, as well as architectural lighting details.  Due to the large volume and variety of work, it will require great focus and attention to detail.  You will be required to create a new process/procedure, where you will have the responsibility to manage, maintain, and update project drawing issue sheets and related documents, so good organisational skills are a must.

Candidates for all the above positions must have flair, enthusiasm, dedication and a keenness to learn, as well as a flexible approach - at times, you will be expected to work to demanding expectations.

Candidates will ideally live within 30 minutes’ commute of the SW10 showroom.

In return, we offer exciting and rewarding work in a great environment, as well as genuine opportunities for development and progression within an exciting and fast growing company.

Hours of work will be 8am to 6pm.

Senior Lighting Designer, Dubai – U.A.E

Nouran: Concept Lighting is on the hunt to recruit a new team-member to help deliver a rapidly expanding project pipeline. Based out of the corporate HQ located in Dubai, the successful candidate will be a dynamic and progressive, team oriented lighting designer with a minimum of four years of experience at a recognized lighting design consultancy. This is a position for a candidate looking to launch the next phase of their career by experiencing the ‘bigger picture’ of lighting design.

In addition to creatively spearheading a project from concept through completion, this role provides stimulating career growth for a designer wanting more client-facing time. This is a position for a designer wanting to learn more about onsite interaction with other third party consultants from a variety of architectural disciplines. It is also a position for a designer wanting to understand the intricate commercial aspects of ensuring design intent is protected throughout the tender phase and consequently the tender award process. This position may require travel across the Arabian Gulf most notably to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.

Preferred applicants will hold a degree in Architecture, Lighting Design or even Electrical Engineering. They will also have demonstrable skills in Autocad, Dialux and/or Agi32 as well as be fluency in 3d Max or Photoshop as well as the MS Office Suite.

Ultimately, the Nouran team is on the lookout for a candidate who yearns for a little adventure as well as a break from the norm. Our projects are extremely challenging not only in their fast-paced design process but also in the nature of demanding clientele who need to be delicately managed. As such, the position demands that the individual not only be a talented designer, but also excels at the thrill of handling unreasonable expectations. Finally, the ideal candidate will be an individual who wears thick skin and has no qualms about delving into the details of project management, commercial considerations and contractual negotiations.

Interested candidates are invited to apply to upload their CV and Coverletter via www.nouran.ae/contactus

Alternatively, they can sent directly to: info@nouran.ae

We do not accept applicants from recruitment agency so please apply directly in case you are interested.
