(UK) - The company's former UK marketing manager returns to spearhead LED business.
Lees is to become strategic business unit manager for LED and takes up his post at Havells-Sylvania after 18-months with Toshiba Lighting.
The new position caps a rise through the ranks of the company for Lees, which began in 2005 when he accepted a packaging design role at Sylvania's Shipley factory. His role steadily grew to incorporate marketing design and product management.
“I am delighted to be back at Havells-Sylvania,” Lees commented. “Sylvania has been an important part of my career and I am looking forward to immersing myself in a new challenge and growing the already successful LED business.
My role is to understand what our customers want in each country we operate in and to ensure we have the products, tools and knowledge to provide them with the best service possible," Lees said of the job.
"Edward has a great history with Sylvania,” says Peter Dillen, SBU director of LED at the company. “I know he will make a positive impact on our LED business and strengthen our market position."
Lees will oversee the launch of a number of new products in 2013, and will play a key role in bringing these products onto the market.
