GE announces leadership team appointments

(UK) - GE Consumer & Industrial has announced key appointments to the leadership team under Phil Marshall, President & CEO EMEA, to reinforce GE’s position in the market place and drive growth further.
The new line-up includes the appointment of two Commercial Directors, one to lead the Lighting business, and the second to lead the Power Protection businesses.
Simon Phillips has been appointed as the Commercial Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa for the Lighting business. He has ten years experience in GE Lighting in Europe and prior to this twelve years with Thorn Lighting, holding a variety of European sales, product and marketing management roles. Simon is based in the UK and has a degree in Industrial Technology and Management.
Christophe Pomeon is the new Commercial leader for Power Protection business. Christophe has worked with GE since joining in 2003 as Sales General Manager Panel Builder/ Contractors in Europe. From 2004, he has held various sales GM positions before being promoted to his new role as EMEA Commercial Director. Christophe is based in Germany and graduated in mechanical and electrical engineering in 1980.
Supporting Phil Marshall’s strategy for growth, GE Consumer & Industrial has also appointed new human resources and communications leaders to work across EMEA.
Tibor Vörös, a 13-year GE Human Resources veteran, has been named HR Director, GE Lighting & Industrial, EMEA, and Kinga Kalocsai, a highly experienced pan-European communications and media relations executive, has been named Communications and Public Relations Manager for the business.
Both executives will play key leadership roles in developing and executing the strategy and operations for the business unit that manufactures, markets and sells lighting and industrial products across EMEA.
Speaking about the appointments Phil Marshall said: “These appointments are a critical part of our ongoing strategy to drive growth and increase our overall market share. The new leadership will help us to implement our strategy for growth in a consistent and coordinated way across EMEA.”
