Daktronics receives IDEA Award
08 March 2010 10.00 GMT
(USA) - Daktronics was presented with the Information Display and Entertainment Association (IDEA) Allied Achievement Award during the Annual IDEA conference that took place 14-17 February in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA.
The Allied Achievement Award gives honor to a current Allied IDEA member organisation for industry innovations, support of the large screen video industry, and support of the IDEA organization. The member organisation has to be nominated and is voted the winner by those in attendance at the conference.
“Daktronics is honored by receiving this award,” said Sarah Rose, Live Event Services Manager for Daktronics. “There are many people involved in supporting this customer base and it’s nice to be recognized for all of our efforts.”
Daktronics was nominated for continued support of the IDEA organization through the development of user groups and for introducing learning and networking opportunities via Facebook. These user groups provide attendees with the opportunity to share ideas and learn how to utilise data in game-day presentations.
A major part of Daktronics involvement consisted of leading, training and coordinating IDEA’s Content Committee. This committee was responsible for developing and coordinating three days of educational classes.
In this area, Keyframe, Daktronics’ creative services division, provided assistance with planning and leading courses.
“The attendees at IDEA see a great value in these classes and appreciate Daktronics’ support,” commented Rose.
This marks the ninth time Daktronics has received the award dating back to 1999.
IDEA, founded in 1983, has been a leading professional association for members of the game-day operations industry for over 25 years.
