David Atkinson wins UK 'Lighting Designer of the Year'

(UK) - Atkinson wins top prize at Hilton Park Lane ceremony, with Licht Kunst Licht winning the International prize for the Telekom Bridge in Bonn.
David Atkinson, the creative director of DALD, last night won the coveted ‘Lighting Designer of the Year’ award at the UK Lighting Design Awards. His projects, many of which have been covered in mondo*arc (including his recent ‘Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes’ at the V&A in London in issue 59), have included heritage sites, interactive museums, retail, hotels and contemporary architectural projects.
Atkinson studied at LAMDA and after spending several years in theatre, commercial presentation, music, fashion and television he established as an independent designer for architectural installations.
