BDP Launches 'Cycle For Jo'

31 March 2011 10.00 BST

(UK) - BDP studios ride in relay in honour of murdered BDP employee Jo Yeates. All proceeds will go to Missing People, the British Red Cross and the RSPCA .

As part of the series of events marking BDP’s 50th year (due to begin in May) BDP has launched 'Cycle for Jo' where cyclists from all BDP studios will ride in relay teams between each studio to raise money for charity. Following the tragic death of Bristol studio based landscape architect, Jo Yeates, last Christmas BDP is dedicating this sponsored cycle tour as a way of paying tribute to her.

Cycle for Jo will involve over 150 riders from BDP on a relay tour around all of its studios in the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands. Studios in Abu Dhabi and India will also join by cycling in their studio areas. The first team will leave London on 6th May and the last team will arrive back in London on 25th May.

Cyclists are giving their time and their energy, BDP is funding all the logistics, support and safety needs, and BDP is looking to friends, especially those in property and construction, to support the tour through corporate sponsorship or personal gifting. All donations will be split between three charities – Missing People, the British Red Cross, and the RSPCA. BDP hopes that people will give generously.

Donations can be made through http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/bdp
