Light proposal for Japan relief
11 April 2011 11.00 BST
(Singapore) - Melvyn Law, Associate IALD, has created a lighting proposal in support of the Japanese relief effort.
Entitled ‘Nippon no hikari’, the scheme comprises suspended arrays of recycled incandescent bulbs, painted in the red and white of the Japanese flag.
Though only a hypothetical project at this stage, Law hopes to secure a sponsor who will help make installation a reality – with all proceeds donated to the Red Cross.
In the meantime, Law is urging his colleagues to consider donating a dollar to the Red Cross relief effort via the Red Cross Singapore website.
