FC Lighting, a leading manufacturer of commercial standard and customized lighting products, celebrates its 25th year of business in 2007.
Founded in 1982 as Fantastic Creations, a small, retail lighting store, FC Lighting has grown significantly, and has built its reputation on manufacturing a broad variety of commercial grade, architectural exterior and interior fixtures at value prices. From steplights, wall mounts and floods to sconces, pendants, track, recessed and more.
In the past few years, FC has focused on new lighting technologies that are growing in importance to lighting designers, architects and end customers. For example, nearly all FC fixtures are available in low energy consuming, low maintenance LED lamping, with up to 100,000 hours of operating life. In 2006, FC introduced JK Visions, a line of LED step lights designed by world renowned lighting designer, J.K. Yao, winner of the IALD Radiance Award.
Currently, FC is leading new technologies for Solid State Lighting, with its new Solid State Luminairesª (SSL) a full line of high-brightness LED fixtures available in high-brightness white. Solid State Luminaires will be offered in RGB configurations incorporating Color Kinetics' Chromasic
microprocessor chips for color changing applications. Initial fixtures include linear wall wash, round flood, recessed overhead and drive-over designs that can be customized in color and finish.
FC's new Solid State Luminaires incorporate the latest in LED technology. With illumination output increasing dramatically, lighting designers and architects increasingly will turn to high-brightness LED to take advantage of extremely long operating life (up to 50,000 hours), substantial energy
and operating savings, thermal management and other advantages, including small size relative to illumination output.
