JCC OPENS ADVANCED LIGHTING APPLICATION CENTRE IN THE UK

Featuring six full size application sets over 6,000 sq ft, the full potential of JCC's products and services can be seen first hand. With each set demonstrating different sets of lighting fixtures, each with different lamps, the application centre is designed to provide maximum opportunity to see how the various options can perform together aesthetically in a working environment.

The bathroom set shows options for mirror lighting, with the latest products on the market including the Minsk wall and mirror lights. It also shows the latest in backlighting mirrors, which use compact fluorescent lamps for energy efficiency.

Shopfitters and hoteliers are catered for with a bistro, a shop floor and a hotel reception on display. With downlights, track and spot, recessed lighting and uplighters, there is plenty here to inspire anyone looking to fit out a retail or commercial area.

On the domestic side, the bedroom set demonstrates the effects of ceramic and glass lighting, whilst the kitchen shows how lighting can work with the fittings to maximum effect, yet still remaining subtle. The exterior isn't forgotten, with a large display of lanterns, bollards, wall lights and decking spotlights, including the popular Fumagalli range. And if that isn't enough, there are display boards featuring the most popular fittings for an at-a-glance view.

Overall, the lighting application showroom offers the wholesaler, contractor and end user a unique view of some of the best products on the market, in settings that are familiar so that it's clear how the products will look in their end environment.

"The application centre is, we feel, the best the industry currently has to offer, said Dave Dawkins, managing director of JCC. "It shows off the products to their best advantage in a space that they are designed to be used in. I hope that our customers will use the centre to their advantage, and use our lighting design team who can offer advice and information on the products and their application." The Droitwich facility is JCC's second UK base, with the headquarters situated in Bognor Regis. With Droitwich ideally placed in the Midlands and close to transport links, it will enable JCC to reduce distribution times to those in the Midlands, North, Scotland and Ireland, and enhance distribution times to those in the South and East of the UK.
