As W.A.C. Lighting continues to grow at a rapid pace CEO/Founder Tony Wang has announced that the firm is building a brand-new and extensive manufacturing and distribution facility in Dong Guan, China. W.A.C. Lighting, a leading designer and manufacturer of track, recessed, undercabinet, decorative and monorail lighting, will maintain its corporate headquarters in Garden City, New York.
The new ISO-9001 certified facility, which opens in June, will encompass over 750,000 square feet and employ and house a staff of 2500, at full capacity. The current facility encompasses 250,000 square feet. The state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility will enable WAC craftsmen to create precision components utilizing a broad range of processes: die-casting; plastic extrusion; injection molding; CNC lathe and metal punching; moldmaking; spinning; lead-free SMT electronic production; and automated powdercoating. The latest technologies will be employed in the production and assembly of the complete W.A.C. Lighting and W2 Architectural Lighting lines; all performed on the premises.
A "Lighting Application, Showroom & Training Center," that covers over 20,000 feet, will display and demonstrate the firm's complete product line.
A state-of-the-art "Product Testing Center," which also encompasses 20,000 square feet, will offer a full range of tests to meet stringent quality standards for: endurance; durability; reliability; temperature; electrical componentry; lamp and luminaire performance; photometrics; and mechanical safety.
