In response to recent changes in UK fire safety legislation, Cooper Lighting
and Security has launched a series of independently certified one-day
training courses covering fire alarm and emergency lighting system design.
Delivered by industry experts, these intensive courses will enable system
designers to demonstrate their competence, as required by the Regulatory
Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
The courses provide cost-effective, practical training in an easy-to-digest
manner, while ensuring that the content is both up-to-date and technically
authoritative.
Those who successfully complete the Basic Fire Alarm Design course will gain
a sound understanding of the BS5839 Part 1 standard for fire detection
systems and will be registered and certified by the FIA.
The Emergency Lighting Competent Engineer course, which is endorsed by ICEL,
provides a detailed introduction to the BS5266 standard for emergency
lighting. Successful students will be registered by ICEL as competent
engineers.
Both courses will be run throughout the year at various UK locations, and
all students will receive a comprehensive package of support information to
keep for future reference.
