TRILUX has taken another step towards sustainably strengthening its own
product portfolio through the continuing operations of DZ Licht.
"After acquiring a 75% share of Oktalite and investing in DZ Licht, we took
consistent steps in further expanding the vertical range of the company and
can thus offer customers lighting solutions from a single source," says
TRILUX's general director Michael Huber, explaining the company's continued
expansion efforts. DZ sees itself as a specialist for high-quality and
sophisticated outdoor lighting systems: "Since we see ourselves as a
supplier of innovative lighting solutions and intelligent lighting systems,
DZ is an excellent match for us," Huber claims.
DZ Licht has been operating since 1999 under the Italian brand Artemide,
through which the Europe-wide marketing was organised. This task will be
assumed by the TRILUX Group in the future in Germany, Austria, Switzerland
and Benelux countries. The DZ brand will continue to be active on the market
in the area of products and customer services. Neither company is providing
any information about the scope of the investments.
The Frondenberg-based company recently attracted attention to itself with
its innovative products in the LED sector. "By concentrating on the
decorative outdoor luminaire segment, DZ was able to acquire in-depth
know-how to specialise in this area, drive developments and establish a
great reputation for itself," explains Huber. He views the investment as a
logical step for expansion in its strategic plans for the future. "We are
expanding our range while rounding it out at the same time." TRILUX aims to
tap the national and international potential in this manner. "By expanding
our activities, we are strengthening both our brand and market position,"
explains the general director.
Both the Arnsberg site, as centre of the internationally active TRILUX GmbH
& Co KG with more than 1,300 employees and the Unna-Frondenberg site of DZ
will remain completely active. DZ will hire 35 employees throughout the year
for administration, production and sales. TRILUX's managing directors Reiner
Jurgens and Johannes Huxol emphasise that acquiring the DZ brand added
another financially healthy building block to the TRILUX Group. "This shows
that two strong partners are able to work together, enjoy an excellent
reputation and continue on a good course." By strengthening the overall
range of both companies, they promise to continue the intensified forcing of
the market.
