SCUBA
SCUBA from Zumtobel Lighting is an elegant, moisture-proof luminaire designed by Massimo losa Ghini.
SCUBA has an oval, aerodynamic shape. In addition to direct lighting, SCUBA provides illumination at 15º above the horizontal in order to illuminate the ceiling effectively.
As a high performance luminaire, SCUBA has an internally optimised prism structure that ensures precision illumination where required. The smooth exterior of SCUBA also enables easy cleaning.
SCUBA is constructed of a robust housing made of glass fibre-reinforced polyester with three diffuser options: an impact-resistant polycarbonate diffuser, a chemically resistant PMMA diffuser, or a unique Chemo diffuser, depending on the conditions required. The Chemo diffuser consists of a special blend of plastics that combine the chemical resistance of visually attractive PMMA with the elasticity of UV-stabilised unbreakable polycarbonate. SCUBA'S innovative sealing rim ensures that the basic housing and luminaire diffuser do not suffer any water ingress.
SCUBA is particularly suitable for application areas such as production areas in foodstuff, metal producing and working, timber or plastics industries, underground car parks, roofed transit areas and underpasses through to basement, boiler and side rooms.
The luminaire is easy to install on walls or ceilings with a CLIX mechanism. Closure of the catches, and therefore luminaire sealing, are audibly and visibly indicated to the installer. SCUBA meets all the standard requirements for IP 65 (or lighter on request) protection and can be fitted with a special heavy-duty electronic ballast for increased service life at higher ambient temperatures.
SCUBA from Zumtobel combines impact and UV resistance with user-friendliness to provide a high specification luminaire for extreme conditions.
