RAIL66
RAIL66 by WE-EF, with its IP66 protection rating, is the first truly flexible and weatherproof rail system for exterior lighting and, of course, for the interior as well. RAIL66 offers a variety of lighting, installation, and design options. It is easy to install, without involving any drastic changes or interventions in the existing structure of a building.
RAIL66 can be mounted vertically or horizontally to a faŤade; the system can likewise be mounted vertically to a post or mounted onto or suspended for illumination of horizontal areas. The 'rail' itself is mounted to the facade at only two points, using bracket supports. Spotlights and floodlights can be set as desired and the cables running through the inside of the 'rail' can be then wired through one central connecting point in the facade. Thus, extensive changes to the faŤade and necessary repairs, for example to the plaster, are reduced to a minimum. In addition to improved lighting, this also ensures a reduction of the usual follow-up costs.
The clear, reduced design of the rail system and luminaires simplifies integration into a variety of construction and facade designs, including small, and large glass surfaced areas. Using the RAIL66 system practically eliminates the unwanted disruption to the appearance of the facade, especially when dealing with historic structures. The adjustable joints of the luminaires allow perfect positioning and stable aiming. The cable from the luminaires runs directly through the 'rail' and is thus hidden from the outside. Subsequent changes, extensions, or later even modifications to the entire lighting system can be carried out without extensive work. Up to six individual luminaires can be attached per 'rail', between two mounting points.
The corresponding luminaire families are extensive and have been designed to be weatherproof for use in exterior applications. Rail and luminaires are constructed of a special low copper content, die-cast aluminium, which is corrosion resistant and finally supplied in a superior powdercoat finish, all within the WE-EF 5CE system. Various RAL and DB colours are available. With RAIL66 spotlights and floodlights, it is possible to illuminate both large areas or simply accent light. There are a wide variety of distributions to choose from; For example, symmetrical, asymmetrical, ellipsoidal, bi-symmetrical, narrow, medium, and wide beam. Various lamps are also available such as Metal Halide and Halogen.
RAIL66 offers not only great flexibility, but also mobility in the lighting of the interior and exterior areas. There are a numerous range of uses: In addition to use as a fixed-installation, it can also be used as a temporary lighting system: simple area illumination and event-oriented accent lighting or scenic lighting, i.e. temporary structures, concerts, and catering areas as well as parks and garden lighting for a limited period.
