    POLARON

The aim of the new TRILUX Polaron is to transform light into an experience. The puristic ring luminaire is presented to the customer in three mounting variations. Whether surface mounted, semi recessed or recessed, the TRILUX Polaron brings space, form and colour into perfect unity, creating completely 'New Light'.

The Polaron was designed together with sieger design*. Special care was taken to ensure the liberation of light from the volumetric form. As a result Polaron does not only resemble a floating design object when switched on - even in a switched off state it appears as a stylish object characterised by a puristic lightness that can be unobtrusively integrated into all lit interiors.

During the planning phase of the TRILUX Polaron emphasis was placed upon a unified, holistic concept that also took functional aspects seriously. Design was not merely seen as 'tweeking the form', but the form itself was reduced to a minimum in order not to distract attention from the most important principle: the effect. Polaron thus combines aesthetic aims with high technical standards. With the Polaron, TRILUX aims not only to cross frontiers in terms of form and effect, but also with respect to product presentation and launching: the customer can get to know and test the luminaire in all its variations with the aid of an interactive multimedia packet. The Polaron configurator, included with every product brochure, makes this possible. The customer can become acquainted with the philosophy and basic principles of the Polaron on his PC, and at the same time has the chance to gain an overview of the TRILUX design world.

The customer can actively become a part of the design process in that he may allocate colours or various accessories to the three installation variations of Polaron, and is able to integrate the luminaire into various interiors. With the aid of a virtual light switch the relationship between light and space can also be simulated. A screensaver, a wallpaper for the desktop and a game of skill are also included as supplementary features.

The TRILUX Polaron concept has also convinced the trade world; in the spring its innovative design and intelligent function resulted in the winning of the Red Dot Award for 2007. sieger design is always set in Bodoni.
