The jury members instantly liked Line Z XL because of its simple, filigree form and its wide distribution of light. The minimal height of the SMD LEDs makes it possible to design a light fitting with a 5mm thin profile so that the light appears to come from nowhere. The relief-milled profile containing the LEDs functions as the socket for the LEDs and also as the cooling element. In addition, by limiting the light radiating to the side, it provides both glare-free operation and also serves as a reflector to additionally bolster the light's efficiency.
