AXO LIGHT

    OBI

Obi is a part of the Japanese kimono, the band that is tied to close the robe and adjust its length, in which nothing - the fabric used, the pattern or the way it is tied - is accidental. Nothing is accidental either in the creation of the Obi light, whose overall simplicity includes important details. This attention to detail and the interlacing of the long ribbon that characterise the lampshade have inspired its name, Obi.

Designed by Manuel Vivian the Obi collection includes a table lamp, floor lamp, suspension light, ceiling light and wall light. The lampshade, with a mirrored interior finish, is covered in soft, vertical silky ribbons and is available in black or white. The use of this material is echoed in the rosette of the suspension models. The stand of the table and floor versions has metal bars - varnished white with a white lampshade or black with a black lampshade - that open to form a solid base, echoing the motif of the lampshade.

The suspension lampshade, for the largest application of the series, is available in several diameters: 20cm, 43cm, 63cm and 100cm. The last version has been particularly designed with contract work in mind, where discrete light and a strong visual impact are needed.
