Free as a bird

This chandelier, made of 1000 origami cranes, has been installed in Liberty store, London.

Each bird is individually stitched onto a fine aluminium frame and lit by a single bulb casting hundreds of shadows. The piece is made from a material visually resembling paper, however it is synthetic, fire-resistant and colourproof.
